Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil since 1955
Extra virgin olive oil
Sabatini extra virgin (first cold pressed) olive oil is a creation of the millennial culture of Umbria. Here is a particularly favorable climate, hilly terrain, and rocky drainage soils, easily permeable to the roots of olive trees. These soils allow the roots to grow in width and depth, making the trees stronger and more resistant to natural conditions resilient. Our Pack sizes
Our Cultivar
Frantoio Olives
It is self-fertile, but benefits from cross-pollination. It blooms at the same time as that of the Leccino and Moraiolo cultivars. She has a low ovarian abortion (about 10%). It starts fruiting early and has a high and constant productivity.
Sensitivity to winter frosts is medium. Susceptibility to fly and peacock eye is medium, while that to mange is high.
The rhizogenic aptitude of the cuttings is high.
Moraiolo Olives
It is self-sterile, therefore it needs a pollinating cultivar. It blooms substantially at the same time as that of the Frantoio and Leccino cultivars. She has a limited ovarian abortion (<25%). It starts fruiting early and has a high and constant productivity.
It has a good ability to adapt to situations of limited water availability, which are often found in some olive growing areas of the Region, characterized by shallow, loose and rich in skeleton soils.
Sensitivity to winter frosts is high. Susceptibility to fly is low, to mange is medium and to peacock eye is high.
The rhizogenic attitude of the cuttings is medium.
Leccino Olives
It is self-sterile, therefore it needs a pollinating cultivar. It blooms at the same time as that of the Frantoio and Moraiolo cultivars. She has a low ovarian abortion (<15%). It starts fruiting early. It has a rather high and constant productivity.
Sensitivity to winter frosts is low. Susceptibility to the fly is medium, while that to mange and peacock eye is low.
The rhizogenic aptitude of the cuttings is medium-high.
